SASSA Takes Expert Services to Fernie Community
Tuesday, August 27, 2024
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers to the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering expert services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency said it is alarmed with regards to the high number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some significant number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office devoted to service the area daily. The company point created for intervention encounters a higher inflow of possible beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for the Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service sassa point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more methods to permit the servicing of all customers and raise entry to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
